Cooking and baking help in Ipswich and the North Shore

From a batch of cookies to a weeknight dinner or a backyard cookout, a neighbor who loves to cook can lend a hand.

Birch opens to the public later in 2026. Become a founding member to hear from us first.

What you can ask for

  • Home baking for gatherings and holidays
  • Weekly meal prep
  • A cooked dinner in your kitchen
  • Running the grill for a cookout
  • Kitchen help when you're hosting
  • Baking with or for the kids

How Birch works

  1. Pick a neighbor. Browse real profiles, prices and reviews from people in your town and nearby.
  2. Send a request. Choose a date and describe the job. Your card is saved, not charged.
  3. Pay when it's done. The job happens, you confirm, and payment is released. Then leave a review.

Trust, built in

  • Vouched and verified: every provider is referred by an existing member and approved by a person before their profile goes live.
  • Protected payment: your card is charged only after the job is done.
  • Private by default: your address is shared only after a provider accepts, and you message on Birch.

Tips for a great visit

  • Mention allergies and dietary needs in your request.
  • Agree on who buys the ingredients before the day.
  • Providers who cook or bake confirm they follow Massachusetts food safety and cottage food rules.
